experiences
Yipee! thanks to the encouragement of my one commentator(?) Hrishu Suman I hereby break my hiatus..
following up 'my experiences with chikungunya' i like to think that experience is a good way of overcoming fear.
We grow up with a bundle of mindsets and fears which are expelled best by 1st hand experience. Of course provided it doesnt harm anyone/thing/myself too much .
In my checklist of experiences is:
Bitten by dog - yes
Fell of the scooter - yes
Had a fractured bone - no
Been in a fire - no
been in a natural calamity - yes from a safe distance
interacted closely with someone very 'different' - yes
been in love - yes
lost someone very dear to death - yes
tried drugs - no
tried & trying alchohol - yes
other unmentionables - yes & no
Do add on your own list of 'experiences' that have enriched you or helped you overcome fear in some way...
and life does go on...
